This children’s book is written by Liz Coutts and illustrated by Sophie Martin. The book recounts Grampa’s true story of his adventurous journey when he was a boy in the 1950’s travelling on his own on an argonaut plane from boarding school in Scotland to his home in Uganda, Africa. Him and his teddy, who can be spotted on each page throughout the book had an exciting adventure on this journey which included stop overs in London, Rome, Cairo and Khartoum. It would nowadays take 8-9 hours by plane and in the 1950s took Grampa 4 days!
The book is 40 pages full colour throughout and is a perfect bound soft back measuring 21 x 21cm.
A proportion of the profits from the sale of this book will be donated to ‘Sands’ stillbirth and neonatal death charity.
