I have really enjoyed running a block of 4 watercolour painting workshops at Space2Create in Kendal. The Friday morning WellArt sessions are lots of fun with a great group of folk who are very enthusiastic and enjoyable to work with. We began by trying out some simple mark making and trying wet and wet, wet on dry and dry on dry methods to create simple shapes before then starting some layering of colours and washes.
We then experimented a bit with combining some different mediums like graphite and pen with the watercolour before working on some more complex layered landscapes in the final week.
I am sad the sessions are finished but hopefully I will be back there again in the future and would definitely recommend Space2Create for anyone looking for a space to create in a fun and supportive environment.
