I had a brilliant couple of weeks working with all of the pupils at St Pius X Catholic Primary School & Little Lambs Nursery. Everyone worked on decorating a cross with designs linked to the gospel values. We used Sharpie pens, fineliners, bright oil pastels and added a dark paint wash on top to look like stained glass windows. These crosses all tesselate together to look like a patchwork quilt. I was very impressed with the results and the pupils were very proud of their hard work. I had lots of wonderful pupil comments about their art days with me including these
“Art day was amazing. I learnt how to use a fineliner really well. I enjoyed putting the time and focus into it”
“It was really enjoyable and relaxing”
“I learned that it does not have to be perfect and that it is all about giving it a shot”
“It was fantastic it made me feel happy”
